EVERTYTHING ABOUT TELANGANA
• Post-independence history:When India became independent from the British Empire, the Nizam of Hyderabad wanted to retain his independence, but the Government of India amalgamated his state by force on September 17, 1948; after executing Operation Polo by the Indian Army. When India became independent, the Telugu-speaking people were distributed in about 22 districts; 9 of them in the Telangana region of Nizam's Dominions (Hyderabad State), 12 in the Madras Presidency (Andhra region) and one in French-controlled Yanam. A Communist led peasant revolt started in 1946, lasted until 1951.
• Merger of Telangana and Andhra: In December 1953, the States Reorganization Commission was appointed to prepare for the creation of states on linguistic lines. The States Reorganization Commission (SRC) was not in favour of an immediate merger of Telangana region with Andhra state, despite the common language between the two.
Para 382 of States Reorganization Commission Report (SRC) said "opinion in Andhra is overwhelmingly in favour of the larger unit, public opinion in Telangana has still to crystallize itself. Important leaders of public opinion in Andhra themselves seem to appreciate that the unification of Telangana with Andhra, though desirable, should be based on a voluntary and willing association of the people and that it is primarily for the people of Telangana to take a decision about their future". The concerns of Telanganas were numerous. The region had a less developed economy than Andhra, but with a larger revenue base (mostly because it taxed rather than prohibited alcoholic beverages), which Telanganas feared might be diverted for use in Andhra. They also feared that planned dam projects on the Krishna and Godavari rivers would not benefit Telangana proportionately even though Telanganas controlled the headwaters of the rivers. Telanganas feared too that the people of Andhra would have the advantage in jobs, particularly in government and education.
The commission proposed that the Telangana region be constituted as a separate state with a provision for unification with Andhra state, after the 1961 general elections, if a resolution could be passed in the Telangana state assembly with two-third majority.
Chief Minister of Hyderabad State, Burgula Ramakrishna Rao strongly believed majority of Telanga people are against the merger.
Prime ministerJawaharlal Nehru ridiculed the idea of merging Telangana with the Andhra State, fearing a “tint of expansionist imperialism” in it. Later, he compared the merger to a matrimonial alliance having “provisions for divorce” if the partners in the alliance cannot get on well.
However, following the "Gentlemen's agreement, the central government, ignoring States Reorganization Commission Report , established a unified Andhra Pradesh on November 1, 1956. The agreement provided reassurances to the Telangana people as well to Andhra people in terms of power sharing as well as administrative domicile rules and distribution of expenses of various regions.
• 1969 Movement: Telangana people had a number of complaints about how the agreements and guarantees were implemented. Discontent with the 1956 Gentleman's agreement intensified in January 1969 when the guarantees that had been agreed on were supposed to lapse. Student agitation for the continuation of the agreement began at Osmania University in Hyderabad and spread to other parts of the region. Government employees and opposition members of the state legislative assembly swiftly threatened "direct action" in support of the students. This movement, also known as Telangana movement, led to widespread violence and deaths of hundreds of people and students of this Telangana region. Approximately 360 students gave their lives in this movement.Congress faced dissension within its ranks, its leadership stood against additional linguistic states, which were regarded as "anti-national." As a result, defectors from the Congress, led by M. Chenna Reddy, founded the Telangana People's Association (Telangana Praja Samithi). Despite electoral successes, however, some of the new party leaders gave up their agitation in September 1971 and, much to the disgust of many separatists, rejoined the safer political haven of the Congress ranks
• Movement in 1990-2004:Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), promised a separate Telangana state if they came to power. BJP created Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Uttarkhand states in year 2000 as promised. But the BJP could not create a separate Telangana state because of the opposition from its coalition partner, Telugu Desam Party. These developments brought new life into the separatist Telangana movement by year 2000. Congress party MLAs from the Telangana region, supported a separate Telangana state and formed the Telangana Congress Legislators Forum In another development, a new party called Telangana Rashtra Samithi (or TRS) was formed with the single point agenda of creating a separate Telangana state, with Hyderabad as its capital lead by Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao popularly known as KCR.
• 2004 and later:
In 2004, for Assembly and Parliament elections, the Congress party and the TRS had an electoral alliance in the Telangana region with the promise of a separate Telangana State. Congress came to power in the state and formed a coalition government at the centre. TRS joined the coalition government in 2004 and was successful in making a separate Telangana state a part of the common minimum program (CMP) of the coalition government. In September 2006 TRS withdrew support for the Congress led coalition government at the centre on the grounds of indecision by the government over the delivery of its electoral promise to create Telangana.
In December 2006, the TRS won the by-election to the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency with a record margin.
There was pressure on the Congress party to create a Telangana state in 2008.
• 2009 and later:
In February 2009, state government declared that it had no objection, in principle, to the formation of separate Telangana and that the time had come to move forward decisively on this issue. To resolve issues related to it the government constituted joint house committee .
Ahead of the 2009 General Elections in India all the major parties in Andhra Pradesh supported the formation of Telangana. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) again announced their policy of having smaller states and would create two states, Telangana and Gorkhaland, if they won the election. The Congress Party still says it is committed to Telangana statehood, but claims Muslim minorities are opposed to creation of separate state along with majority of people. Some analysts, however, feel that the "Muslim reluctance card" has been very smartly played by Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who is staunchly opposed to the formation of the new state.
The Telugu Desam Party(TDP) has promised to work for Telangana statehood. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) joined a Mahakutami (or grand alliance) with TDP and left parties to defeat the Congress party for denying statehood for Telangana.
The Praja Rajyam Party (PRP), newly founded by film star Chiranjeevi, supported Telangana statehood prior to elections, but later changed its stance.Nava Telangana Party merged with PRP after it realized that there is not enough political space for two sub-regional Telangana parties with Telananga statehood as main agenda.
Several political parties, including some Telangana congress leaders, criticized Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR), when he changed his stand from pro-Telangana and gave anti-Telangana statements after the polls.
Congress returned to power both at center and state. TRS and the grand alliance lost the elections in overwhelming fashion.
In September 2009, Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR) died in a chopper crash while flying in bad weather.
In the first week of Dec 2009, the TRS president, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) started a fast-unto-death demanding that the Congress party introduce a Telangana bill in the Parliament.Student organizations, employee unions and various organizations joined the movement. Scores of people commited suicide in support of Telangana state.Telangana bandh (strike) shuts down Telangana on Dec 6th and 7th. Student organizations planned a massive rally at state legislature(Assembly) on Dec 10th. Government warned that the rally does not have permission and deployed police troops though out Telangana. The decline of KCR's health has contributed to a sense of urgency for the central government to take a decision on the issue of Telangana statehood.
• Telangana state formation process:
On Dec 9th 2009, 11:30 PM, Mr. P. Chidambaram, Union Minister of Home Affairs announced that Indian government has started the process of forming a separate Telangana state and that a resolution would be introduced in Andhra Pradesh assembly for this soon. KCR ending his 11 day fast said from his hospital bed that this a true victory of the people of Telangana. The central government has asked Andhra Pradesh state government to pass of a resolution in the legislative assembly . However, as per article 3 of Constitution, Parliament does not require Assembly resolution to create a new state.
Telangana celebrated the central government decision while non-Telangana regions of Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions (Andhra region) protested.
Several members of Andhra Pradesh's legislature submitted their resignations to protest the creation of the new state. As of 16 December, at least 147 legislators (including Praja Rajyam Founder Chiranjeevi) and many Members of Parliament had resigned in protest of the Government's decision to carve out a new state of Telangana. 22 Ministers form the State Cabinet have submitted their resignation. All of the Legislators/MPs' resigned belong to Andhra (Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema) region.
On Dec 16, media reports confirmed that there is split in Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) over Telangana issue, with its leader Chiranjeevi as well as 16/18 party MLAs opposing the division of Andhra Pradesh, while Telangana leaders in the party are unhappy with the shift in the party's views.

history of Israel and palestine Conflict
We are so accustomed to Israel and Palestine conflicts , I want to shed some light on the facts that led to the one of the longest conflicts in the world.
The conflict goes back to early 19th century due to religious and historical significance of Palestine state for Jews and Islamists. The main reason has been same as with India and Pakistan ie religious sentiments and claim on areas of Israel and Palestine by both the parties.
After the anti semantic movement (movement which asked to destroy the Jews, all over the world), Jewish movement called Zionism was started in late 19 th century by Theodr Herzl. Zionist called for the separate homeland for Jews and earlier Plasetine was the chosen home as the religon firts evolved here.
Before World war Palestine was ruled by OTTOMAN EMPIRE ( Prsesnt Turkey), It was broken and Britain overtook the control of as per the distribution of German and Ottoman colonies.
Britain encouraged Arab Nationalism to wekaen the Turkey Links.
In opposition to Zionist movement Arab also gathered and formed Palestine Arab Nationalism.
By then Jews from Europe started settlling in the Palestine. It was after World war II when thousands of Jews were killed all over the Europe, they started coming to Plaestine in large numbers. After the victory of Allliance forces in World War II, Israel was officially declared a Jews State in 1948.Accoeding to UN position plan (created after war) Plaestine was divided in three areas between Israel and Palestine and cities like Jerusalem and Bethlehem were put under UN control. In this regards Armistice agreement was signed.
But there was resentment in Plaestine people because according to divison they got only 43% of land despite much more population than Israel, moreover there were religious sentiments attached with the two cities of Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
There were several attacks by Palestine on Israel but didnt get success as Israel's forces were stronger with modern weapons. During all these years Palestine was dependent on aids from Europe and UN. In 1964 finally 1964 Palestine Liberation Organization(PLO) was formed which was later headed by Yaser Arafat. PLO used gurriella tactics and terrorist attacks on Israel, in this strategy they attacked several times. Most famous was the Munich incident in which athletes from Israel were kidnapped and killed. This incident got global reckoning as planned byPLO. After this there were several conflicts and finally Israel ousted PLO from Jordan in 1970 and than again in 1982 from Lebanon after Lebanon war.
Finally in 1993 OSLO agreement was signed between PLO and Israel, under this agreement PLO gave the official recognition to Israel and Israel left the control from various parts of Plaestine like Gaza, West Bank etc. CampDavid summit was also a part of this peace process.
All was going well then came anothe instigation from Israel when it started makin West Bank fence, in the same year Hamas another Palestian faction rose on the account of corruption charges against Arafat and his team. Another organization started from Lebanon on the other border in form of Hezbollah.
This long history of conflicts is continuing till date but none of the self acclaimed Bosses of the world has shown seriousness to resolve the conflict which has killed thousands of people till date.

NIA
So another red tape organisation has come into being as a result of efforts of the UPA govt. to add extra teeth to its efforts in the so called "war" against terrorism. NIA or the national Investigation agency Bill 2008 calls for establishing a federal agency with exclusive powers to concentrate on investigating terror crimes. Now the debate arises that at first glance what exactly is the purpose of this exhibition of preparedness for "Future" terrorist attacks. The glaring alacrity with which terror has struck parts of the nation that were in earlier years immune to attacks is not only worrisome but also points to the complete inaction by the government to formulate a strategy to address and root out terror. The UPA has the inglorious distinction of having witnessing under its reign the re-emergence of the Students Islamic Movement of India and emergence of new terrorist groups claiming such horrendous acts. The spate of terror attacks has not only let the nation be seen as a country soft on terror, but has also exposed a Government that lacks a coherent nation wide strategy to deal with internal acts of terror. The Prime Minister like on all other occasions has been found wanting in addressing the nation at a time of need. Numerous terror incidents have elicited a timid reaction from the premier and that too by way off a press statement or through officials in the PMO. This seeming lack of concern by Manmohan Singh not only further demoralizes the citizens of the country; they also strengthen the arms of the terror groups who see it as a government passive on Islamic terrorism. The lack of a coherent strategy on Islamic terrorism is also seen by some as the extension of the government pro-minority approach. For to adequately address the issue of Islamic fundamentalism, one would have to have a broad ranging discussion on religion, fanaticism and minority representation. These are all areas where the government would much rather maintain a stoic silence and criminal overlook rather than address the root cause of the problem. The tragedy of terrorism in India is not the fact that innocent lives are lost, but the fact that the government in the garb of “terror cannot affect our way of being” notion adopts a ‘back to normal’ approach within 24 hours. Terror attacks after terror attacks have shown the government address, at best, the incident in question, rather than formulate a strategy on how to handle this war that has been declared against the Indian State. With Kashmir fairly secure and peaceful over the past few years, the terror networks have tried to cast their net over the rest of India which has been evident in the sequence of attacks that took place in various parts of the nation at the will of the persons who commit such crimes. Now a terrorist has the guts to attack any area of any city of any state of the nation. And Lets look at the solution as devised by the UPA govt. which suddenly seems to have waken up with coming elections from the hibernation after the 26/11 mumbai attacks. What exactly is the motive behind identifying another intelligence body to fight this war? Then what would CBI or RAW do? Doesnt it seem to be a simple reaction of saving its image against the outburst of anger in Indian Public keeping in mind the coming elections. It seems like a damage control move on the government's part that has concentrated more on economics of the nation under the guidance of the economist prime minister. Unfortunately it failed in that arena of work also.
It is learnt that the powers vested to this agency curtails the rights of the citizens and can operate at the cost of governmental procedures and permissions. The Government should be aware of that but considering anyhow the unconventional nature of the enemy and the extraordinary circumstances in which the war is being waged it is too little a cost an indian would pay for Nations Security. But The Most Important question is if the current terror controlling measures are not sufficient the new move by the govt. should not a political fiasco . We need to have a organisation on US lines much like the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) . It should have its decision making body and should be independent in its operations. without the necessary expertise in the specialised focus of this department it could very well coverup the slumber of the UPA but not ensure sense of safety to the Indian citizen who pays for it and chooses whom to pay it to.
MY COMMENTS ON THIS BLOG
Well good analysis, but I think that instead of Islamic terrorism ,if only terrorism would have been mentioned that would have served the purpose.I just want to draw attention to few of the points mentioned by you.1-According to your opinion UPA has roped in new agency in the wake of upcoming elections but if you see the result of recently polled state in which the polling took place just after Mumbai attacks, Congress has won 3 out of 5 states so doesnt it mean that we the people of India are not worried about government's lack of concern on terror or in other terms we are not worried about terrorism at all until it strikes us.2- You mentioned about CBI and RAW.CBI only looks for economic related offences like hawala etc. and besides that there are lot of numerous other cases pending with CBI.Than RAW, I think the main function RAW is to collect external intelligence, information on foreign governments to advise our government etc.Don't you think that we need a special agency which should look after terrorism only because now Terrorism is not a part time job.3- About red tapes. We are not bothered about terrorism because uptill now we havent suffered yet.Ask those people who have suffered from this, wont they support some restrictions? Its better to have restrictions rather to face a gun.Well Terrorism is a big issue now and there are lot of factors involved. So it cant be solved overnight, but lets us first see hoe NIA works before criticizing it and that is what we best at OPTIMISM.

short story
Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment. When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!""I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you.""Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her. Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder, Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?""It was Time," Knowledge answered."Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."
story
"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"He receives the answer: "Who are you?"And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"The voice answers: "I admire you!"Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"He receives the answer: "Coward!"He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"The voice answers: "You are a champion!"The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.It gives you back everything you say or do.Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

Terrorist struck again
Last last night local time bombs of terror struck specifificly intented targets around Bombay. Most targets were picked because of the high concentration of foreigns staying there. The two hotels that were bombed and later the scene of hostage situationsn are the luxury Taj Mahal Hotel and the Oberoi Trident.
Will this scare the tourists away?
All day we have heard about the hostage situation on the news. I man who got out of one of the hotels told about how the terrorists had asked people with american and british pasports to step forward. This could only start speculations on how these western-hating terrorists would treat the western pasport owners.
Terrorists from India?
One of the alarming aspects of some recent terror attacks in India is that Indian-born Muslims were involved. This only shows the religious fanaticism will use every means to try to make a statement. These Indian Indian Mujahideen are willing to kill country men, which was done when bombing the train station.
Fatal financial consequenses
I truely belive that this attack will have great influence on the Indian economy ii the future. I think that many tourists in the future will keep out of India. This being a country where there still are great gaps between rich and poor, the lacking tourism will most likely hit the poor the worst.
